ADDITIONAL BENEFITS
MARTIAL ARTS HELPs KIDS FOCUS IN SCHOOL
Martial arts classes provide students with a natural outlet for their energy and teaches skills that are needed for educational success: focus, discipline and follow-through. Many students improve grades and maintain high level grades after joining Raise Leaders martial arts.
Confidence & Social Skills
Martial arts training can be an excellent source of self-confidence for children. As your child starts advancing through the belt ranks while meeting goals set by himself or herself and instructors, he or she will feel a sense of accomplishment. For children, learning that they can overcome obstacles in life with hard work is a high learning point that can translate to academic success in school and the confidence to commit themselves to other positive pursuits.
Martial arts schools provide many excellent opportunities for students to learn to work well with others. This helps children when they're in school surrounded by their peers, especially when it comes to group assignments and projects.
Dealing with Anxiety and Stress
School can get pretty stressful, especially in higher grade levels when students are worried about graduation and post-secondary education. Through breathing techniques and understanding how one reacts to stressors, students can learn how to deal with anxiety and stress, so that they don't get in the way of their performance.

βMy daughter (11) and son (8) have been attending Raise Leaders programs for 4 years! Our kids consider everyone family there. I am so relieved that I can go to work knowing my kids are having a blast in a safe and positive environment. β

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT RAISE LEADERS CAMPS
Our staff to student ratio is 1:8 for the juniors group (ages 6-8) and 1:10 for the seniors group (ages 9-14). We also have a leadership team member assigned to each counselor. We strive to provide our students with a positive and individualized experience. Having a small program allows us to help campers develop confidence, make friends and practice leadership. (In Florida, the law requires a 25:1 camper to counselor ratio).
Positive environment - Our students, instructors and staff practice positivity at all times. We work hard to motivate and uplift one another. We believe that happiness and well-being has a powerful effect on children resulting in more positive behavior, better motivation to learn and greater self discipline - leading to increased success throughout daily life.
Our program is ACTIVE - Our students run, kick, jump, sweat, train and play every day. TKD kids are fit kids and we always strive to enhance fitness and martial arts skill levels. Our students receive at least 2 to 4 hours of physical activity each day exceeding Healthy Eating and Physical Activity (HEPA) standards.
Safety is paramount at Raise Leaders. All staff members must pass a nationwide background and drug screening and must hold current CPR certification.
Our program is FUN - Our students have a blast everyday! We teach exciting martial arts classes (like board breaking and jump kicks) and play team sports outside (yes, we love soccer).
Our program is FRIENDLY - Our students develop friendships that last a lifetime in a positive, motivating environment. Components of our curriculum include anti-bullying and the value of friendship.
Our program promotes LEADERSHIP - Our students say yes ma'am and yes sir and participate in group discussions about leadership, courtesy, integrity and responsibility.
